Hello Writers, I hope your week is going well!
My day has been filled with a bit of sadness and reflection
Eddie Van Halen has died--
I've been sending out emails because I have a new course that is open for early-bird registration and I want you to write your novel so I've been in your inbox every day this week encouraging you to sign up and then yesterday after going to VOTE and drop off my ballot I heard the devastating news of Eddie Van Halen's passing.
My world was suddenly in a whirlwind of sadness and grief.
You see, I never knew Eddie personally but he affected my life in many ways.
1. He always did what he loved-MUSIC-that was it for him, he never wanted or imagined that he would do anything else.
2. His happiness doing what he loved always shined through in his performances.
3. He was genuine and authentic--he had a voice that was uniquely his.
And it got me thinking about life and how we go through it.
We have a choice, we can follow our dreams or stall because so many have done whatever it is before us, and we may let that stop us.
So, while I just can't seem to get up the whatever it takes to write brilliant sales copy I just want to say that if your dream is to write novels then I encourage you to follow it in any way possible.
Whether that is in my new course, FROM NOTHING TO NOVEL, or in someone else's, or maybe you just write on your own. Do it. Life is short.
Don't ever give up on your dream.
You are uniquely you, just like Eddie was who he was. There were many great guitarists before him and yet he carved his place in history.
You can do that too-your voice is yours and your story is yours.
I want you to do what you love and be happy & successful.
Would I love you to do it with me?
YES! That's being honest but mostly, I just want you to do it!
