In THE NEW HOUSEWIFE OF THE NORTH POLE, my mission is to bring to life a fun, soapy, totally over-the-top gossipy romance to Christmas.
I wrote this story because it’s a new twist on the Christmas genre with a rom-com vibe, and it speaks to all of us who need to be seen and learn how to stand on our own. Also, I LOVE SOAPS, and thought it would just be a great laugh
Ellie
Citygirl, creative, and freespirit
Ellie is a simple woman who doesn’t need anything fancy, and she loves the teeny tiny apartment in New York, but she can’t afford it. She is a creative spirit who makes her living doing a variety of artistic endeavors. She is a bit of a pushover and always does what’s best for others. See, she’s a people pleaser and carries another issue- she is empathetic to a fault. She often forgets about her own happiness to make everyone else happy, and it usually backfires. Now, she must get the love of her life's mother and the neighborhood to accept her in order to keep her relationship.

WHY THIS STORY RIGHT NOW? Because it speaks to people wanting to fit in as our world grows more and more isolated due to technology and...it's funny.

The Housewives
These bi**hes are tight!
Nothing is harder than joining a group of women who have been through it all together and are each other's ride-or-dies. They don't trust Ellie; they want her to go away and not mess up their plans. Behind those beautiful smiles is deception, gossip, and lots of scheming.
This story is for anyone whose mother-in-law doesn’t approve of them, and for anyone who has ever felt they will never be accepted into their spouse’s life.
The Ring!
Can't we just elope?
Ellie and Nick are in love. The problem? No one at the North Pole accepts her, and he's about to take over his father's place as Santa Claus. Ellie wants the ring, but her soon-to-be mother-in-law doesn't approve. Now, she must show that she is worth it.

WHY ME? As a woman who has lived through several groups of girlfriends, I know firsthand what it's like to get caught up in gossip just to fit in and let it get the best of me. After moving multiple times in my life and joining new women's friendship groups, I am the perfect writer for this story. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE soapy stories, and adore everything THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF SALT LAKE CITY.
