The Airport Bar
A comedy written by Stephanie Bourbon
When an old curmudgeon's plan for suicide goes awry due to a freak snowstorm, which keeps him in an airport bar at LAX on Thanksgiving weekend, he realizes that maybe he does deserve a second chance.
Have you ever flown the day before Thanksgiving? It sucks... now imagine a snowstorm ruins your plans, and you're at LAX...
This script is about Nick Baker, an aging man who feels trapped in his life and is ultimately planning to commit suicide. After being stuck in a bar at LAX due to a freak snowstorm with an aging actress who feels like she has lost “it”, a young gay man searching for his own truth, and a man who is constantly rattling off statistics about plane crashes, Nick’s life takes a turn he wasn’t expecting. This offbeat and quirky story is about the choices people are forced to make, the ones they decide on their own.
